Christmas tree season 2026 — most farms open Thanksgiving weekend.See what’s open near you

About us

A kinder way to find your family’s tree.

Field & Fir started with a small, familiar problem: the tree farm directories were years out of date, and it was too easy to drive an hour to a farm that had sold out on Tuesday.

So we built the directory we wanted — every farm checked this season, every detail dated, and a simple way for farms and families to say “still has trees.”

Three promises

Checked, dated, honest

Every listing shows when it was last checked and where the information came from. If we’re not sure, we say so.

Free for farms, always

A full listing costs a farm nothing. Paid spots exist, and they’re always labelled “Featured.”

Kept fresh together

Farm owners update in one tap. Families who were just there tell the next family what they found.

How a listing stays current

01

We find the farm

From public farm directories, state growers’ associations and tips from readers.

02

We read their own pages

Hours, prices and opening day come from the farm’s website and social pages, re-checked weekly in season.

03

The farm confirms

Owners who claim their listing correct anything, and their update always wins.

04

You tell us what you saw

A quick “plenty left” or “sold out” from a visitor keeps everyone’s plans on track.

How we keep the lights on

Ads on our pages, a few affiliate links to tree gear, and optional Featured spots for farms. No farm can pay to change its status, its visitor reports, or another farm’s listing.

When we get it wrong

Farms change plans, and so does the weather. Every page has “Suggest an edit.” We fix corrections within one business day in season, and farms can ask to be removed at any time.
